Pro-choice abortion counseling
Supportive counseling for individuals navigating pregnancy decisions or processing feelings after an abortion,
offering a respectful space to talk openly, explore their options, and work through complex emotions.

A space to talk through your decision
Facing a pregnancy decision can feel overwhelming. You might be considering your personal circumstances, relationships, well-being, and future all simultaneously. These are the moments when most women require a personalized space where they will be free to express themselves without feeling judged or pressured to make a particular decision.
I spent five years working as a counselor in an abortion clinic in Dallas, talking to women about their choice and responding to their questions about abortion procedures, including both medication and surgical procedures. My role is not to direct your decision, but to assist you in thinking through what would be right for you and your life.
Even if you have already had an abortion, you may still be carrying feelings of regret, sadness, confusion, or grief, especially if you felt you didn’t have enough time to fully process your decision, or if external pressures from a partner or life circumstances influenced your choice. In such cases, post-abortion counseling can provide a safe, compassionate space to gently work through these emotions and begin healing.

Does this sound familiar?
People often seek abortion counseling when they need a place to talk honestly about a difficult decision.
- Feeling uncertain about whether to continue a pregnancy
- Wanting to talk through all your options with someone neutral and supportive
- Feeling overwhelmed by the urgency of making a decision
- Experiencing guilt, sadness, or mixed emotions after an abortion
- Struggling with how to talk about your experience with others
- Seeking pro-choice, non-faith-based, and honest counseling regarding a pregnancy decision.

How pro-choice abortion counseling can help
Pregnancy-related decisions often include complex emotions, practical realities, and personal values. The benefit of counseling is that it offers a safe and confidential environment where you can openly discuss the situation you are experiencing, ask questions, and reflect on what choice would be best based on your situation and well-being. Although there are no legal abortion clinics in the state of Texas, I can provide referrals to clinics outside the state where services are available. However, if you have already secured a means to end a pregnancy, maintaining a confidential therapeutic relationship remains of the utmost importance

How I help my clients
I approach abortion counseling with care, neutrality, and respect for your autonomy. My role is not to influence your decision but to help you explore what you’re feeling and what options may make the most sense for your life.
In our conversations, we take time to understand your concerns, circumstances, and any pressure you may be experiencing from outside voices. Many people simply need a place where they can speak freely and sort through their thoughts. Whether that is having an abortion, adoption, or continuing the pregnancy, the choice is up to you.
Whether you are considering an abortion, preparing for one, or processing an experience afterwards, my goal is to support you with clarity, compassion, and practical guidance.

Is abortion even legal in Texas?
Abortions are not legal in Texas, but there are legal abortion clinics in nearby states. However, some people do manage to “secure a means” for legal pills, and if that is your path, I am here to support you in that path in a confidential setting. Here is information on how you can get access to that information.

Can I talk to a counselor even if I haven’t decided what to do?
Yes. Many people seek counseling specifically because they are unsure about their decision and want a supportive space to talk it through.
What if I already had an abortion and still feel upset about it?
It is common to experience mixed emotions after an abortion. Counseling can help you process those feelings in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.
Will the counselor try to influence my decision?
No. The purpose of pro-choice counseling is to support your autonomy and help you explore what decision feels right for you.
Can counseling help if I feel rushed to make a decision?
Yes. Therapy can help you slow down emotionally, reflect on your situation, and approach the decision with more clarity.
What if I feel guilty or ashamed about my experience?
Those feelings are more common than many people realize. Counseling can help you work through those emotions with compassion and understanding.
Do I need to talk about everything right away?
No. You can share at your own pace. Sessions are designed to feel safe and respectful of your comfort level.
How do I get started?
The first step is usually a short consultation where we talk about what you’re going through and whether this support feels like a good fit for you.
Do you provide in-person sessions?
No, I am virtual only, which allows me to see anybody in the entire state of Texas. I use a secure HIPAA-compliant EHR platform called Simple Practice for our video calls.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept insurance. I work with a billing company called Alma. You will have to visit the portal and upload your documents. Next, they will verify your insurance and notify you about the expected price.
You can learn more information about which insurances are accepted here: Rates and Insurance
