Insurance and rates
Understanding the cost of therapy is an important part of deciding what feels right for you. This page is here to give you a clear picture of how sessions work financially, so there are no surprises as you get started.
Private Pay Therapy Cost
Sessions are $200 for 50 minutes.
This is the standard rate for individual counseling. If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
If cost feels like a concern, you are welcome to reach out. There are a limited number of sliding-scale spots available. The sliding scale range is $125-$200.
Using Insurance
If you are planning to use insurance, I accept a range of plans through a secure billing service.

EAPs Accepted
Optum Live & Work Well (EAP)
EAP Coverage varies depending on your plan, so it’s helpful to confirm your benefits in advance. Some plans may have your EAP under a different provider than your normal Mental Health services. Example. Your EAP services are under Optum but your mental health services are under Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tx (not-accepted insurance).
Why Selective With Insurance?
I limit the number of insurance plans I accept so I can offer consistent, thoughtful care without rushing sessions or overloading my schedule.
How Insurance Is Processed
I work with Alma to handle insurance billing.
When we are getting you scheduled, you’ll receive access to a secure client portal where you can submit your insurance details. Your benefits will be reviewed and confirmed so you have a better understanding of your coverage before we begin. In most cases, your co-pay information will be populated automatically. However, depending on your insurance provider, it may require manual verification, which can take approximately 1–3 business days.
What You Might Actually Pay
Even if your insurance is listed, the amount you pay per session can vary.
This depends on:
- your deductible
- your co-pay or co-insurance
- whether your deductible has been met
Many clients find it helpful to contact their insurance provider before starting so they know what to expect.
A Simple Way to Check Your Benefits
If you’re unsure what to ask your insurance company, these questions can help:
- Do I have mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible, and has it been met?
- What will I pay per session?
- Is there a limit on sessions?
- Do I need approval before starting?
- Is Blanca Kleinfall, LPC, in-network with my plan?
This can give you a clearer idea of your cost before your first session. Additionally, it’s helpful to ask for a call reference confirmation number when speaking with your insurance company.
Paying Without Insurance
If you prefer not to use insurance, sessions can be paid privately.
- Payments are made through Simple Practice, a HIPAA-secure client portal
- I accept major credit cards.
- Superbills are available if you’d like to seek reimbursement independently
Cancellation & Scheduling
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.
- Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged for the full session fee.

Ready When You Are

“Reaching out takes courage, and you’ve already taken the first step by looking for help.”
You don’t need to have everything figured out. This is simply the next step toward getting support that’s thoughtful, respectful, and grounded in real work. If you’re ready, we’ll begin with a free 15-minute consultation to talk about what you’re looking for and how I can help.
You don’t have to do this alone.
